Selenium is a semi-metal. It occurs in two forms: a silvery metallic form and a red powder. Its primary application is as an additive in glass production. Some selenium compounds decolourise the glass, while others yield a deep red colour. Selenium is also applied to reduce the permeability of architectural glass to sunlight, thereby imparting a bronze hue. It is utilised in the manufacture of pigments for ceramics, paints, and plastics.
Cross-Browser Compatibility:
Selenium permits testing web applications in browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari and others. This approach ensures consistent user behaviour regardless of individual browser preference.
Access to an Open Source Framework:
Selenium is available without licence fees. It provides access to a public test framework. Researchers may modify the code given that web technologies evolve continually.
Support for Multiple Programming Languages:
Selenium supports several languages including Java, Python and C#. Developers may use the language with which they are most familiar or that meets specific project requirements.
Scalability and Integration:
Selenium tests can be extended to larger suites and integrated with external tools, thereby improving workflow efficiency. This integration utilises testing resources more precisely.
Selenium WebDriver:
Selenium WebDriver is employed for browser automation. Write tests in your chosen language and execute them across various browsers. The tool simulates user actions and confirms that web applications meet defined technical standards.
Selenium Grid:
Selenium Grid enables parallel test execution on multiple computers. This method reduces test duration by 37% and optimises resource allocation. It accommodates larger test suites without compromising accuracy.
Selenium IDE:
Selenium IDE offers a graphical interface that permits users without technical expertise to create and run test scripts. It is designed for the rapid formulation and execution of test cases with minimal programming input.
Selenium for Mobile Testing:
Selenium extends testing capabilities to mobile platforms. It supports mobile tests and verifies that applications function correctly on all devices, regardless of the operating system.
We offer training materials, detailed documentation and technical support. Our resources assist teams in utilising Selenium to meet exact testing requirements. Organisations such as Stanford Advanced Materials, Stanford Advanced Materials (SAM), and Oceania International LLC, alongside experts Eric Smith and Chin Trento, currently use Selenium for their web tests.
