Lapping, laminating and high-temperature sintering produce metal fibre felt from metal fibres in the micrometre range. The multi-layer metal fibre felt comprises layers of metal fibres with varying pore sizes. It achieves improved filter accuracy and increased dirt retention capacity compared to single-layer felt.
Metal fibre felt is produced by lapping, laminating and high-temperature sintering of metal fibres with micrometre dimensions. Multi-layer metal fibre felt consists of layers with different pore sizes and achieves greater filtration accuracy and dirt-holding capacity than single-layer felt.
It withstands corrosion and high temperatures and can be welded, folded and reused.
Metal fibre felt is an efficient filter medium. It is suitable for use in conditions with high temperatures, elevated differential pressures and significant corrosion exposure.
Metal fibre felt exhibits a high dirt-holding capacity for deep filtration, long service intervals and a low pressure drop. Flow rates are up to 20 times higher than those of other media.
It is cleanable. It offers excellent backflush and backpulse performance. It can be easily folded and welded.
