PTFE products resist acids, bases and most corrosive chemicals. They maintain flexibility at low temperatures and stability at high temperatures, thereby permitting use in various industrial sectors. Additionally, PTFE exhibits high strength and resistance to moisture, temperature fluctuations and thermal expansion.
PTFE products possess resistance to acids, bases and most other corrosive chemicals. They exhibit flexibility at low temperatures and maintain thermal stability at high temperatures. Testing indicates performance within a temperature range of approximately –60°C to 260°C. Additionally, PTFE retains its strength and resists moisture, temperature fluctuations and thermal expansion.
As a fluorocarbon solid, PTFE is a high-molecular compound composed solely of carbon and fluorine. These characteristics render PTFE appropriate for non-stick coatings for frying pans and other kitchenware. Moreover, PTFE is employed in aerospace wiring, in the computer sector and in the manufacture of sliding bearings, gears and sliding plates. It is also used as a lining in hose systems, compensators and industrial pipelines, particularly where the transport of aggressive chemicals such as acids and alkalis is involved.
Stanford Advanced Materials (SAM) offers a range of PTFE products, including PTFE bushings, PTFE cups, PTFE plates, PTFE key valves, PTFE‐coated magnetic stirrers and PTFE bottles. Each product is produced following standardised manufacturing processes and tested according to technical specifications.
PTFE Plates and Films: Designed for electrical insulation applications, these products have been tested to operate continuously over a temperature range of approximately –60°C to 260°C. Standard tests confirm electrical breakdown voltages in line with industry requirements.
PTFE Seals and Gaskets: Tested to withstand pressures up to 10 MPa and temperatures ranging from –40°C to 260°C, our PTFE seals maintain their integrity when used in pipelines, valves, pumps and similar systems.
PTFE Hoses and Pipes: Exhibiting low friction—with measured coefficients averaging around 0.04—and excellent chemical compatibility, these components are used for the transport of corrosive liquids, chemicals and gases. They meet the relevant safety and performance standards required in chemical processing, pharmaceuticals and the food industry.
PTFE Rods: With appropriate mechanical and electrical insulation properties, our PTFE rods have been measured to exhibit tensile strengths in the range of 20–30 MPa and high electrical resistance values. These rods are used in components such as bearings, insulators and sliding guides.
PTFE‐Coated Fabrics: These fabrics combine durability with low surface adhesion. Testing confirms that they maintain a coefficient of friction below 0.2 and meet industry standards for tensile strength. They are used in food processing, the packaging industry and aerospace applications.
Consistent Quality: Our PTFE products undergo rigorous quality control in accordance with ISO standards. Each item is manufactured to precise specifications to ensure consistent performance.
Customisation Options: We supply tailored PTFE solutions that meet specific requirements in terms of size, shape and performance. Our specialist team works directly with clients to devise solutions that fulfil the necessary criteria.
Reliability and Longevity: Testing confirms that our PTFE products operate effectively under temperature extremes, chemical exposure and mechanical stress. Consequently, operating interruptions and maintenance requirements are reduced.
Technical Expertise: Our team of engineers and technicians provides technical support, guidance and recommendations to ensure that the chosen products meet application requirements.
Global Accessibility: We offer worldwide shipping and support, thereby enabling customers to access our PTFE products regardless of location.
