Beryllium compounds include beryllium oxide, beryllium sulphide, beryllium nitride and beryllium nitrate powder, among others. Beryllium oxide has a melting point of about 2 600 °C and a thermal conductivity near 220 W/(m·K). It shows a thermal expansion coefficient of around 2.6×10^-6/K and an electrical resistivity approximating 10^8 Ω·m. Manufacturers produce it by forming its bulk shape or by applying it as a coating onto a metal or another substrate.
