Food additives

There are 35 types of food additives in the general goods classification. This group includes flavour enhancers, defoamers, fillers, dyes and preservatives. The classification lists an additional 10 000 variations of additives. Nine additives are commonly used. They include preservatives, antioxidants, dyes, thickeners and stabilisers, fillers, sweeteners, acidifiers, the bleaching agent benzoyl peroxide, and spices and fragrances.
