Molybdenum is a silver‑white transition metal. Its measured hardness is lower than tungsten's. It displays ductility that exceeds tungsten's. It demonstrates creep resistance, low specific electrical resistance, corrosion resistance, high thermal conductivity and low thermal expansion under standard testing. Standard tests were used to determine these properties.
