Resistance welding is a rapid and efficient method for joining metals in industries such as automotive, aerospace and electronics. The process applies electrical current and mechanical pressure to generate heat at the contact point between metal surfaces. The joints produced are permanent and reduce the need for extra materials, thereby minimising thermal distortion.
Within resistance welding, techniques such as Punktschweißen, Nahtschweißen and Buckelschweißen are employed for different material thicknesses and joining requirements. Punktschweißen is well suited for joining thin sheets. Nahtschweißen creates continuous seams that ensure full coverage. Buckelschweißen permits a controlled distribution of heat at multiple points and is appropriate for assembling complex components.
