Molybdenum–Rhenium Alloy Bar Description
Rhenium and Molybdenum are high melting point metals that exhibit good ductility and strength. The Molybdenum–Rhenium alloy is produced as a standard alloy containing 47.5% Rhenium and is used in several industrial sectors. The alloy combines the physical high‐temperature performance of Rhenium with the advantageous mechanical properties of Molybdenum. The alloy can be cold worked to 90% of its original shape. The addition of 47.5% or 41% Rhenium increases ductility, weldability and formability significantly. The alloy retains its ductility even after exposure to high temperatures.
