Zirconium Nitride Evaporation Materials Description
Stanford Advanced Materials (SAM) specialises in the production of high-purity zirconium nitride evaporation materials. These materials are used in the semiconductor industry, chemical vapour deposition (CVD), physical vapour deposition (PVD) and optical applications. The collaboration among our development, manufacturing and analysis teams has enabled us to produce evaporation materials that meet industry requirements.

Applications of Zirconium Nitride Evaporation Materials
Wear-resistant coatings: ZrN coatings are applied on cutting tools, moulds and machine components to increase wear resistance and extend the service life of parts during processing and manufacturing operations, which expose them to abrasive and erosive wear.
Decorative coatings: ZrN coatings with a gold-like appearance and metallic lustre are used for decorative purposes on consumer items such as watches, jewellery and architectural fittings.
Corrosion protection: ZrN coatings are utilised to protect metal surfaces in harsh environments against corrosion, for instance in shipping, automotive and aerospace applications, where corrosion resistance is required for extended service life.
Tool coatings: ZrN coatings are applied on machining tools, drills and inserts for metal processing, thereby prolonging tool life, improving surface finish and reducing friction and adhesion during machining.
Barrier layers in semiconductor devices: ZrN is employed as a barrier layer in semiconductor devices to prevent the diffusion of metal atoms and to ensure reliable performance in integrated circuits and electronic devices.
Thermal barrier coatings: ZrN coatings are used in gas turbine engines and other high-temperature applications as thermal insulating layers that provide heat insulation and protect underlying components from heat damage.
Biomedical implants: ZrN-coated medical implants, such as orthopaedic implants and dental implants, are used because of their biocompatibility, wear resistance and corrosion resistance to improve the longevity and performance of medical devices.
Packaging of Zirconium Nitride Evaporation Materials
