Wolfram is a metal with a grey and white appearance that remains solid at room temperature. It has the highest melting point of 3 422 °C among all metals and exhibits the lowest vapour pressure.
Certified Purity: Our pure tungsten materials are sourced from established suppliers. They are processed in a controlled environment to achieve a purity level of no less than 99.9%. Consequently, the material delivers stable performance in demanding conditions.
Measured Strength: Tungsten exhibits high tensile strength and heat resistance. Our products are designed for applications that require strength and durability. Independent tests report tensile values of approximately 550 MPa and reliable operation at temperatures above 300°C.
Versatile Applications: Pure tungsten is used in aerospace, defence, electronics and medical devices. It is integrated in high-temperature furnaces, electrical contacts, radiation shielding and other industrial components. In one study, tungsten elements reduced processing time by 37% in high-temperature conditions.
Customised Solutions: We recognise that each project has specific technical requirements. Accordingly, we offer pure tungsten products tailored to individual specifications. Please contact our experts to discuss your precise requirements.
Tungsten Rods and Bars: Our rods and bars are available in various diameters and lengths. They meet applications that require high material density and specific mechanical properties. For example, a 10 mm diameter rod supports high load demands.
Tungsten Sheets and Plates: Our sheets and plates are used for radiation shielding and in manufacturing furnace components that operate at elevated temperatures. They are produced to precise thickness tolerances, such as 2 mm or 3 mm.
Tungsten Wires and Filaments: Our wires and filaments offer excellent electrical conductivity. They are employed in lighting, electronics and specialised industrial applications. A typical tungsten filament measures 0.5 mm in diameter and maintains stability at approximately 250°C.
Experience: Stanford Advanced Materials has over 20 years of experience in material sciences and engineering. This expertise underpins our material selection and testing procedures.
Quality Assurance: Our pure tungsten products undergo rigorous testing that exceeds industry standards. Purity analysis, tensile testing and temperature resilience evaluations confirm a purity level of 99.9%, tensile strength of up to 550 MPa and operational stability beyond 300°C.
Technical Expertise: Our technical team provides precise guidance for applications and product integration. They offer detailed technical advice and adhere to standardised protocols, such as ISO guidelines, in laboratory tests.
Customer-Focused Approach: We collaborate closely with clients to ensure products meet specified technical requirements. Detailed documentation and on-site assessments are available if necessary. Please contact our representative Eric Smith; inquiries are typically addressed within 5 working days.
