Description of Nickel-Chromium Alloy Foam (Ni-Cr Foam)
Nickel-Chromium Alloy Foam is a permeable material with a low density. It provides electromagnetic shielding, sound absorption, noise reduction, precise filtering, thermal stability, and corrosion resistance.
The metal matrix containing the foamed pores exhibits a porosity higher than that of conventional sintered porous metals and a pore size of up to 7 mm. Since the metal foam is a two-phase composite consisting of a continuous phase of a metal matrix and a dispersed phase of pores (or a secondary continuous pore phase), its properties depend on the metal matrix used, the porosity, and the pore structure, and are determined by the manufacturing process.
