Introduction of Nano-Aluminium Boride Powder:
Aluminium boride is an ionic compound with a hexagonal crystal structure. It is converted into a superconductor at an absolute temperature of approximately 40 K (equivalent to -233 ℃). The operational temperature range is 20–30 K. To achieve this temperature, one may use liquid neon, liquid hydrogen or a closed cooling circuit. Compared with current industrial methods that use liquid helium for cooling Nb alloys at 4 K, these methods are simpler and more economical. Once doped with carbon or other impurities, and when exposed to a magnetic field or an electric current, the superconducting performance of aluminium boride equals or exceeds that of Nb alloys.
