Beschreibung von Mikro-Titandiborid (TiB2)
The product is manufactured to meet defined purity standards. Its particle size is small and its dispersion is uniform. The measured specific surface area is in the upper range and the surface reactivity meets technical requirements.
TiB2 powder exhibits a melting point that exceeds those of many ceramic materials. Its hardness, wear resistance, and resistance to acids and alkalis comply with established specifications. The electrical and thermal conductivities are within required parameters. The powder is produced to ensure chemical stability and resistance to temperature fluctuations. Its oxidation resistance is maintained for temperatures lower than 1 100 °C, and the mechanical properties include strength and toughness.
Anwendungen von Mikro-Titandiborid (TiB2)
- Conductive ceramic material. It is used as one of the raw materials for vacuum-coated conductive evaporation boats.
- Ceramic cutting tools and moulds. It can be utilised in the manufacture of finishing tools, wire drawing tools, extrusion tools, sandblasting nozzles and sealing components.
- Ceramic composite materials. As a constituent of multicomponent composites, it may be combined with titanium carbide, titanium nitride and silicon carbide. This combination is used to produce parts and functional components that are resistant to high temperatures, such as those for high-temperature concrete and engine components. It is also applicable for the production of armour protective materials.
- As a cathode coating material for aluminium electrolytic cells. Given the reliable wetting between TiB2 and liquid aluminium, its use reduces energy consumption and extends the operational lifespan of the cell.
- PTC heating ceramics and flexible PTC materials. These materials offer safety, energy savings, reliability and ease of processing. They are employed in various types of electrical heating applications.
