Hafnium Silicide (HfSi2) Powder Description
Hafnium Silicide (HfSi2) is a transition metal silicide that is a refractory intermetallic compound. It exhibits defined physical and chemical properties and is utilised in Cermets, oxidation‐resistant high-temperature coatings, high-temperature structural materials, aerospace applications and other sectors. HfSi2 is used as an Hf source for the in-situ synthesis of HfC to prevent oxidation, increase the erosion resistance of the matrix and compensate for ablation-induced defects.
