Titan-Aluminium-clad Material Description
Titan-Aluminium-plated Material is a composite material comprising two layers: a core layer of titanium and an outer layer of aluminium. These two metal layers are joined by a metallurgical process, such as hot rolling or explosive welding.
The purpose of producing this composite material is to utilise the distinct properties of titanium and aluminium. Titanium provides demonstrable strength, low weight and corrosion resistance, whereas aluminium offers good electrical conductivity, low density and malleability. Consequently, the combined material incorporates the characteristics of both metals.
Titan-Aluminium-clad Material is applied in various sectors including aerospace, maritime, automotive and construction. It is used in applications that require a combination of strength, low weight, corrosion resistance and thermal conductivity. Typical applications include aircraft fuselages, ship structures, heat exchangers and automotive components.
Manufacturing Processes:
Casting processes, forging methods, powder metallurgy processes, powder metallurgical rolling processes, welding techniques (diffusion welding, build-up welding), roll bonding, explosive welding, and explosive welding combined with rolling processes are all employed. Given the metal properties, product specifications, operating conditions of the clad sheet, market demand, technological progress and equipment updates, roll cladding, explosive welding and explosive welding with rolling remain the predominant production methods.
Titan-Aluminium-plated Material Applications
Titan-Aluminium-plated Materials are utilised in several industries, including the automotive sector, aerospace, electronics and architecture. They provide a cost-efficient solution by combining the properties of different metals in one sheet, thereby delivering optimised performance and functionality in specific applications.
