Construction of the Furnace

• Double-layer stainless steel structure for maximum vacuum and safety
• Water-cooled front door and air-cooled shell
• Integrated pressure gauge, vacuum valves, and two float gas flow meters
• Built-in H2 combustion control system - when the regulator does not detect a flame in the burner, the gas supply valve automatically closes

Size of the Heating Chamber

• Heating chamber: 200 x 200 x 200 mm (8 x 8 x 8 inches), 8 litres
• Energy-saving insulation made of 1800-degree class aluminium oxide
• High purity Al2O3 coating
• Warning: An Al2O3 fibre door block is included. The user must place the door block at the front of the chamber to block heat radiation; otherwise, the sealing ring may be damaged at high temperatures, and hydrogen gas may escape.

Temperature Controller

• The main temperature controller manages the 30-segment heating programme and provides a single-stage temperature alarm protection.
• The secondary temperature controller reads the temperature from the secondary B-type thermocouple, monitors temperature during all processes, and offers two-stage temperature alarm protection.
• The Eurytherm temperature controller is optional and provides accuracy of +/- 0.1℃.

Pressure Control

• The pressure sensor and pressure controller are installed. It measures chamber pressure and controls gas inlet and outlet valves according to pressure threshold settings.
• The pressure controller can be used for the following functions:

• • Flushing
  • Pressure regulation
  • High and low pressure protection

• Controllable pressure range: -0.06 to 0.03 Mpa.

Heating Elements

• 6 sets of molybdenum ribbon heating elements are built-in and replaceable
• The molybdenum ribbon heating element is a consumable part that must be ordered separately as needed.
• The heating element can be replaced with MsSi2 to operate the furnace under oxygen and air up to 1700℃.
• Warning! The molybdenum heating element must not be used under air or oxygen at temperatures > 300℃.

Gas Flow and Vacuum Valve

• Two large flow meters (N2: 0~3.5L/min, H2: 0~3.5L/min) are installed at the front of the furnace.
• One for flushing the inert gas before introducing H2 gas
• One for controlling the H2 gas flow
• A high-performance vacuum pump (CE certified) is built into the base of the furnace to improve the flushing chamber.

H2 Gas Combustion Control System
and Optional Hydrogen Detector

• A spark device is already installed to ignite the flowing gas and measure burner temperature, ensuring that the H2 burner is operational. If H2 does not ignite properly, the control system immediately shuts off the H2 gas supply valve.
• Warning: A certified hydrogen detector must be installed in the operating facility to alert in the event of hydrogen leakage. If this is not available in a local store, please click the following link to order a hydrogen detector from us at an additional cost.
• Optional hydrogen detector to enhance safety for SAM hydrogen gas tube furnaces.

Water Cooling

• A water cooling device with a circulation capacity of 58 l/min is installed for cooling the sealing flange of the furnace.
