Furnace Construction

Primary and Monitoring Controllers

• The primary controller and thermocouple are responsible for the custom heating programme and the main alarm system.
• The monitoring controller solely monitors the actual temperature through the other thermocouple and activates the secondary alarm system if the primary controller fails, ensuring safety.

Temperature Controller

• 30 programmable segments for precise control of heating rate, cooling rate, and dwell time.
• Built-in PID auto-tune function with overheating and thermocouple failure protection.
• Overtemperature protection and alarm allow for operation without personnel.
• +/- 1℃ temperature accuracy.
• PC control ready. Cable and software included.

Gas Inlet and Flow Meter

• The gas inlet is a 1/4 O.D. pipe connection installed in the left panel of the furnace.
• The gas outlet is installed on the top of the furnace.
• A 160 scm float meter is incorporated in the front panel with an adjustment knob.

Application Notes

• The cooling rate must not exceed 10℃ /min.
• Toxic or explosive gases should not be used with this furnace without the necessary safety controls and monitoring.
• With prolonged use, small cracks may appear on the surface of the refractory ceramic. This is a normal phenomenon, and the cracks can be repaired with an aluminium oxide coating.
• A fire-resistant door block must be inserted before closing the door.
