A laboratory fume cupboard is a type of ventilation system that primarily protects staff from toxic fumes, smoke and dust. These ductless fume cupboards, also known as carbon-filtered or filtered fume cupboards, operate as self-contained systems that remove hazardous fumes and particulates from the laboratory.
