Tungsten heavy alloys are tungsten-based composites with NiFe or Cu added for a ductile matrix. They have good machining properties, excellent radiation resistance, low expansion coefficient, high strength, and high modulus of elasticity. These alloys are ideal for military equipment, balance weights for submarines and vehicles, aircraft components, nuclear and medical shields, and fishing and sport tackles.
