Vanadium is a transition metal with a silvery-grey colour. It exhibits ductility and malleability. In nature, the element occurs exclusively in chemically bound compounds. When artificially isolated, an oxide layer forms and marginally stabilises the metal against further oxidation.
Vanadium powder, vanadium sheet, vanadium wire, vanadium rod.
Available in various forms: granules, sheets, wire and rods.
Strengthening Alloy Element: Vanadium is an alloying element that increases the strength, toughness and wear resistance of a variety of materials. It is essential in the manufacturing of high-performance alloys.
Corrosion Resistance: Vanadium contributes to the corrosion resistance of alloys. It improves the durability of materials when exposed to corrosive environments, chemicals and aggressive substances.
High Temperature Resistance: Vanadium metals maintain their mechanical properties at elevated temperatures. They are used in applications within aerospace, power generation and high temperature processing.
Energy Storage: Vanadium-based redox flow batteries provide efficient energy storage. They enable the integration of renewable energy, support grid stability and maintain an uninterruptible power supply.
Catalytic Properties: Vanadium compounds exhibit catalytic activity. They are applied in chemical processes, petrochemical refining and emissions control technologies.
Metallurgy: Vanadium alloys are used in construction materials, high-strength steel and aerospace components that require precise mechanical properties.
Energy Storage: Vanadium redox flow batteries deliver scalable and efficient energy storage. They assist integration of renewable energy and help maintain grid stability.
Aerospace and Defence: Vanadium is added to components for aerospace and defence. It improves mechanical performance and meets defined engineering parameters for extreme conditions.
Chemical Industry: Vanadium-based catalysts facilitate chemical reactions. They contribute to the production of chemicals, petrochemicals and environmental technologies.
