Incoloy 825 (UNS N08825/W.Nr. 2.4858) is a nickel–iron–chromium alloy that contains molybdenum, copper and titanium. Stanford Advanced Materials (SAM) supplies pipes produced from Incoloy 825.
Corrosion Resistance: Incoloy 825 demonstrates resistance to both oxidising and reducing environments. It performs in sulphuric acid, phosphoric acid and seawater.
High-Temperature Strength: The alloy retains its mechanical properties at elevated temperatures. It is suitable for applications with heat exposure and thermal cycling.
Acid Resistance: Incoloy 825 reliably withstands several acids. These include sulphuric, phosphoric and nitric acids, thereby broadening its application range.
Resistance to Stress Corrosion Cracking: The alloy resists stress corrosion cracking in chloride-containing environments. This quality supports use in critical settings.
Weldability: Incoloy 825 permits effective welding. It allows fabrication of complex structures without compromising material integrity.
Chemical Processing: Incoloy 825 is employed in chemical processing facilities. It is used in reactors, heat exchangers and acid production equipment.
Shipbuilding: The alloy is utilised in installations such as seawater-cooled power stations, offshore structures and underwater equipment.
Oil and Gas Industry: Incoloy 825 is used in oil and gas processing plants. Its roles include pipelines, valves and components in sour gas environments.
Desalination: The alloy’s resistance to chloride-induced corrosion makes it appropriate for desalination plants where seawater is converted to potable water.
Pharmaceutical Production: Incoloy 825 is found in equipment used for pharmaceutical manufacturing. Its resistance to corrosive chemicals is essential in these settings.
We procure Incoloy 825 products from established manufacturers with consistent production practices. Each item undergoes rigorous quality control procedures to meet the highest industry standards.
