The alloy C-276 is a mixed-crystal-hardened nickel–molybdenum–chromium alloy that contains a low proportion of tungsten. It demonstrates corrosion resistance in chemically aggressive environments and media. It is ductile, easily formable and weldable. Industries apply the alloy in sectors with chemical aggression where alternative alloys have performed inadequately.
Alloy C-276 is a precipitation-hardened nickel-molybdenum-chromium alloy with a small proportion of tungsten. It demonstrates quantifiable corrosion resistance in several severe environments and media. Like many nickel alloys, it is ductile, formable and weldable. The alloy is employed in industrial sectors where aggressive chemical conditions exist and where other alloys have failed to meet rigourous requirements.
Corrosion Resistance: Alloy C-276 is engineered for exposure to strong acids, chlorides and oxidising media. Laboratory tests show it meets defined performance criteria in such conditions.
High Strength: The alloy exhibits measured mechanical strength. It is suitable for applications that demand both corrosion resistance and structural integrity.
Chemical Compatibility: Alloy C-276 is compatible with a range of chemicals. It is therefore applied in chemical processing and other industrial applications.
Versatile Applications: The alloy is used in chemical processing and maritime sectors. It is applied where corrosion poses a challenge to installations and components.
Chemical Processing: Alloy C-276 is utilised in chemical reactors, storage vessels and piping systems. It performs reliably in corrosive chemical processes.
Maritime and Offshore: Given its corrosion resistance, the alloy is applied in maritime settings, for example in sea water cooling systems and offshore drilling installations.
Pulp and Paper: The alloy is implemented in pulp and paper processing, where exposure to corrosive chemicals is common.
Waste Treatment: Alloy C-276 is employed in waste treatment facilities. It withstands corrosive elements present in wastewater and industrial waste treatment processes.
Corrosion Resistance: Alloy C-276 provides quantifiable protection against corrosive substances. Performance data indicate that its use extends service life in demanding environments.
Technical Expertise: Our experts offer guidance on selecting Alloy C-276 for specific corrosive environments.
Reliability: The proven performance of Alloy C-276 contributes to the operational reliability of equipment and components in demanding applications.
