Description of the Anode Basket
The anode basket is lightweight, corrosion‐resistant and features an oxide layer on its surface. Under standard galvanising conditions, the oxide layer may prevent current from flowing through the basket and instead direct the current to the anode material contained within it.
The galvanised anode basket has the following properties:
- The structure is stable, current distribution is uniform and coating consistency is maintained.
- Good anodic solubility, which results in reduced accumulation of anode sludge.
- Loading or refilling the anode material is straightforward, and maintenance is relatively simple.
- Manufactured using a quality substrate material, the anode exhibits an extended service life and supports high current density.

Sizing Requirements
|
The baskets should be between 2" and 4" shorter than the longest workpiece. The baskets must be positioned 1" above the solution level. The hook length is measured from the top of the anode rod to 1" above the solution level. For rectangular baskets, three (3) baskets measuring 2 1/2" x 6" per 2 feet of rod are recommended. The anode baskets are externally marked and labelled in order to facilitate identification and quality control. Measures are implemented to ensure that no damage occurs during storage or transport.
