AP100S Turning Insert (Negative Insert) Description:

AP100S Turning Insert (Negative Insert) delivers exceptional machining performance with superalloys and stainless steels. This grade features a sub-micron carbide substrate combined with high hardness and a PVD coating with a nanolayer, which enhances hardness and oxidation resistance at higher cutting speeds. The AP100S grade provides superior surface finish on the workpiece due to the post-treatment of the surface after the coating. It is characterised by extended tool life at higher cutting speeds on superalloys and stainless steels, as well as reduced built-up edge formation, improved performance reliability, and a significant reduction in machining costs. The AP100S grade can be used for high-temperature superalloys and high cutting speeds during finishing of stainless steels.
