AP301M Turning Insert (Negative Insert) Description:
The Wendeschneidplatte AP301M (Negative Insert) offers exceptional machining performance on stainless steel. This grade features a sub-micron carbide substrate with a PVD coating in the nanometric range. Hardness, toughness, and oxidation resistance are enhanced for machining at higher cutting speeds. Furthermore, AP301M can achieve improved surface finish of the workpiece through post-coating surface treatment. This new grade exhibits longer tool life and reduced buildup edge formation at higher cutting speeds on stainless steels. Performance reliability has improved and machining costs have decreased significantly. AP301M can be used for machining stainless steel in both continuous and interrupted cutting.
