Beryllium oxide (BeO), also known as beryllia, is an inorganic compound with the formula BeO. A crucible is typically used in the laboratory to contain chemical compounds when heated to extremely high temperatures. Beryllium oxide ceramic crucibles can offer improved thermal conductivity, competitive pricing, and more consistent heating dissipation. The crucible has excellent uniformity of crystalline structure and is durable in semiconductor chamber cleaning solutions.

Beryllium Oxide Ceramic Crucible Applications

- High-power electronic devices and integrated circuits

BeO ceramic crucibles have been utilised in high-performance, high-power microwave packaging, high-frequency electronic transistor packaging, and high-circuit density multichip components. The heat generated in the system can be promptly dissipated by using BeO materials to ensure the stability and reliability of the system.

- Nuclear reactor

In reactors and converters, ceramic materials receive radiation from high-energy particles and beta rays. Therefore, in addition to high temperature and corrosion resistance, ceramic materials also require better structural stability. The neutron reflection and moderator of nuclear fuel are typically made of BeO, B4C or graphite.

- Special metallurgical crucible

BeO ceramic is a refractory material. Additionally, a beryllium oxide ceramic crucible can be used in the melting of rare metals and precious metals, particularly in instances where high-purity metal or alloy is required. The working temperature of the crucible can reach up to 2000°C.
