C19160 Leaded Nickel-Copper Bar is a high-performance Copper alloy known for its excellent machinability, good thermal and electrical conductivity, and increased strength compared to pure Copper. The Nickel and Phosphorus in the alloy form Nickel Phosphate, which dissolves in Copper when heated to an appropriate temperature and can be retained through quenching. Subsequent age hardening precipitates the Nickel Phosphate from the solid solution in a highly dispersed form, resulting in a significant hardening and strengthening effect with excellent stress relaxation properties. Further cold working increases the strength even more.
