Diamond

Diamonds are a solid form of carbon. The atoms in diamonds align into a cubic diamond lattice. Diamonds are odourless and tasteless. In their pure state, diamonds are considered colourless and insoluble in water. Diamonds exhibit the greatest hardness among natural materials. They also display the greatest thermal conductivity among natural materials, which makes them essential for industrial applications such as cutting and polishing tools.
