Introduction	In an electroplating plant, thirty-two workers accidentally consumed water contaminated with nickel sulfate and chloride. Consequently, twenty workers experienced symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and abdominal discomfort, with some cases lasting up to two days. The estimated nickel intake ranged from 0.5 to 2.5 grams. Initial tests showed elevated serum and urine nickel levels. Ten workers required hospitalisation for intravenous fluid treatment, significantly reducing the nickel serum elimination half-time. Laboratory tests revealed temporary increases in blood reticulocytes, urine albumin, and serum bilirubin. All affected individuals recovered swiftly, resuming work within eight days post-exposure.
