Introduction The introduction of COVID-19 vaccines globally from late 2020 coincided with an increase in diverse health conditions, from mild to severe, and sudden deaths observed alongside rising inoculation rates. Prior investigations by various international research teams, utilising Scanning Electron Microscopy Coupled with Energy-Dispersive X-Ray Spectroscopy (SEM-EDX), identified 24 undeclared chemical elements in different COVID-19 vaccine brands by late 2023. This paper presents high-precision laboratory results from Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS), which corroborate and extend these prior SEM-EDX observations. We analysed vials from multiple lots of AstraZeneca/Oxford, CanSino Biologics, Pfizer/BioNTech, Sinopharm, Moderna, and Sputnik V vaccines. Our analysis revealed 55 undeclared chemical elements, including 11 of 15 cytotoxic lanthanides—elements commonly employed in electronic devices and optogenetics. Additionally, all 11 heavy metals were detected, with chromium present in 100% of samples, arsenic in 82%, nickel in 59%, cobalt and copper in 47%, tin in 35%, cadmium, lead, and manganese in 18%, and mercury in 6%. Combining our ICP-MS findings with previous SEM-EDX data, a total of 62 undeclared chemical elements have been identified across these vaccine products. Specifically, boron, calcium, titanium, aluminium, arsenic, nickel, chromium, copper, gallium, strontium, niobium, molybdenum, barium, and hafnium were consistently present in all tested brands. Furthermore, ICP-MS analysis indicated that the elemental composition within samples is heterogeneous, with variations observed even in different aliquots from the same vial.
