Oven

• A KF25 connection is built in for connecting the vacuum pump.
• A two-stage rotary vane pump with KF25 at the bottom and a corner valve is included.
• A Pirani vacuum gauge (up to 10-4 Torr) and a mechanical vacuum gauge are included.
• A Pfeiffer 33 L/s turbopump is available for high vacuum operation up to 10-5 Torr.
• A 5L flow meter with 1/4" gas inlet and outlet is included for atmosphere control.

Cooling Chamber

• The built-in gas cooling system allows for faster cooling of the heated sample
• 4 gas injection pipes are installed in each corner of the cooling chamber.
• The gas valve must be opened before the heated sample is placed.
• Once the sample stage is lowered, the sliding door must be closed immediately to isolate radiation from the heating chamber.
• The cooling speed and temperature can be monitored via a thermocouple in the sample stage.

Application Notes

• The quartz tube furnace is designed for use under vacuum and low pressure < 0.2 bar / 3 psi / 0.02 MPa.
• Caution! For safe operation, a two-stage pressure regulator must be installed on the gas cylinder to limit the pressure to below 3 PSI.
• The vacuum pressures in the oven must be below 1000℃ during vacuum processing.
• The oven can be used for soldering two flat samples via the upper self-weight under vacuum at <1000℃.
