Temperature Control

Vacuum Flanges and Vacuum Actuator

• Left side:

4"-flange with 1/4"-Bard fittings, 1/4" tube feedthrough (for 1/4"-O.D. thermoelement insert) and one KF40 vacuum connection for connecting a vacuum pump.

• Right side:

4"-quick-release flange with magnetically coupled vacuum drive.

The rod of the vacuum actuator holds a quartz crucible with a quartz thermal buffer, allowing a sample to be manually inserted or withdrawn from the crucible to achieve rapid heating or cooling.

A type K thermoelement is located at the bottom of the crucible for temperature regulation.

• Optional: An electric drive is available on request for an additional fee.

Vacuum Pump

• A turbopump for connection to the left flange is included.
• ^10-6 Torr max (cold condition)

Warranty

• One year limited warranty with lifetime support.
• NOTE: Damages caused by the use of corrosive and acidic gases are not covered under the one-year limited SAM warranty.
