Lithium Carbonate Powder Description
Lithium carbonate (Li2CO3) is an inorganic compound that is classified as a mood stabiliser. The World Health Organisation has included it on its Essential Medicines List, and it is required within a basic healthcare system.
In contrast to sodium carbonate, which forms at least three hydrates, lithium carbonate is available only in an anhydrous form. Its solubility in water is lower than that of other lithium salts.
Synonyms: Dilithium carbonate; carbonated dilithium salt; Lithocarb, lithium carbon oxide
