PDS Desulfurizer (Sulfonated Cobalt-Phthalocyanine Catalyst) Description

PDS Desulfurizer is a type of black powder that can be recycled. It is characterised by high activity, stable performance, and low consumption. It can perform hydrogenation reactions at lower temperatures and pressures without causing corrosion and pollution.

Based on the original Cobalt-Phthalocyanine catalyst, appropriate co-catalysts and promoters are added. Compared to traditional PDS desulfurization systems, the desulfurization, decyanization efficiency, and removal of organic sulfur have been significantly improved, and it has a unique tower cleaning effect and a higher sulfur recovery rate. It is particularly suitable for the cleaning of gases with high sulfur, cyanide, and carbon content, such as in the desulfurization of coke oven gas and layer gas. Its advantages are particularly evident in the following aspects:

1. High desulfurization and decyanization efficiency: generally ≥98%. At the same time, the highly toxic cyanide can be converted into non-toxic ammonium salt during this process. The desulfurization and decyanization process transforms toxic substances into non-toxic substances.
2. Removal rate of organic sulfur: Due to the different forms of organic sulfur, the removal efficiency varies significantly depending on the alkaline medium, but can still exceed 50%. While mercaptan and carbonyl sulfide can be well removed, thiophenes are not effectively processed.
3. High sulfur recovery rate: The sulfur foam produced by this method is easily floated and separated, with a recovery rate of ≥85%.
4. Low alkaline consumption and no desulfurization waste that requires additional treatment.
5. The cleaning of sulfur foam adhering to pipes and packing materials is also a notable feature of this product, which can extend the lifespan of the plant. The principle lies in its small particle size, large surface area, and high catalytic activity. The immediate effect is that the tower does not become blocked and that the packing, tower walls, and tubes do not require cleaning even during maintenance.
6. Low dosage: Approximately 0.7-0.9 kg of this product is required for each tonne of removed hydrogen sulfide. By selecting the compatibilizing agent, the sulfur capacity of this product has been significantly improved.
