Focusing Lens Description

The focusing lens made from high-quality quartz glass with dual-sided anti-reflective coating has been developed for optical laser systems. The lens focuses the laser beam to create a point of high energy density, ideal for laser cutting, welding, coating, and hardening applications. To minimise spherical aberration, we recommend using a double-convex spherical lens design. For applications requiring higher diffraction performance, aspheric lenses are available, providing a single-lens solution that can replace conventional spherical combinations with multiple lenses.

The focusing lens has been designed for high laser throughput, capable of withstanding high laser power while ensuring low losses and excellent focus accuracy. This makes it the preferred choice for high-precision industrial laser applications.

Aspheric lenses do not introduce spherical aberration into the transmitted wavefront and achieve extreme diffraction performance. A single-piece aspheric lens can completely replace conventional spherical multi-lens combinations.
