A: The typical lead time for custom sizes is 2-4 weeks following order confirmation. Standard disc sizes (50mm-150mm) may ship sooner. Please contact us for current availability.

 

Why choose Iridium over other platinum group metals such as Platinum or Rhodium?

A: Iridium offers the highest melting point (2,446°C) and best corrosion resistance among platinum group metals, making it ideal for extreme environmental applications, X-ray optics, and high-temperature coatings where other materials would degrade.

Do you recommend bonding Iridium targets?

A: Yes, due to iridium's high melting point and the high power densities often used with this material, we strongly recommend bonding to a copper backing plate using indium or elastomer to ensure proper thermal management.
