Polymer Tungsten Description
Polymer Tungsten or Tungsten Polymer (also known as tungsten‐filled polymer) is a composite of various resins and tungsten powder. The components are combined using a specialised metallurgical process. Polymer Tungsten is non-toxic and recyclable. It has a high density, effective radiation attenuation and high tensile strength. It is easy to machine and can be deformed. Consequently, Polymer Tungsten is used for radiation shielding as a substitute for lead.
