Porcelain Raschig Rings Description
Porcelain Raschig rings are ceramic packing elements used for refilling existing columns and other applications. Their specific surface is 30% higher than that of ceramic cylinders and spheres. Their ring design provides high mechanical strength and resistance to acid and high temperatures. The mass transfer efficiency of ceramic Raschig rings is low; however, they cost considerably less than other packing elements, thereby maintaining extensive use in several industries.

Applications of Porcelain Raschig Rings
Porcelain Raschig rings are ceramic cylindrical packing materials used in the chemical and petrochemical industries for material transfer processes. They are commonly employed in fixed‐bed columns for gas–liquid or liquid–liquid contact, thereby providing a larger surface area for separation, absorption and distillation processes.
Porcelain Raschig rings are utilised in towers in the chemical, petrochemical and metallurgical industries. They are applied in drying towers, absorption towers, cooling towers and other installations.
