The ceramic flat membrane based on silicon carbide is a novel ceramic membrane, composed of 99% SiC, which undergoes sintering at high temperatures. Compared to organic membranes, it features high resistance to corrosion, stability at elevated temperatures, as well as ease of cleaning and regeneration. In comparison to tubular membranes, it has a large surface area, lower investment and operation costs, a small footprint, a high concentration of solid content, and an excellent rate of water reuse.
