Strontiumboride Description:
Strontiumborid is generally available in most quantities immediately. High-purity, submicron and nanopowder forms may be considered. Borides are hard, high-melting materials exhibiting metallic conductivity. They are stable in non-oxidising acids but decompose in the presence of strong oxidising agents and strong bases. Borides are used in semiconductors, superconductors, diamagnetic, paramagnetic, ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic materials, turbine blades and rocket nozzles. Recent studies found that borides are superconducting and ultracompressible.
Stanford Advanced Materials (SAM) produces many standard grades. They include Mil Spec, ACS, reagent and technical grade, food, agricultural and pharmaceutical grade, optical grade, USP and EP/BP (European Pharmacopoeia/British Pharmacopoeia). The products comply with applicable ASTM test standards. Both standard and custom packaging are available. Additional details on technical specifications, research and safety (MSDS) are available. A reference calculator for converting relevant units is provided.
