Tantalum is a naturally occurring metal with a melting point of approximately 3 017°C. It exhibits a thermal conductivity of roughly 57.5 W m⁻¹ K⁻¹ and an electrical conductivity of around 7.5×10⁶ S m⁻¹. Corrosion resistance values were determined through controlled tests. Controlled tests recorded a material loss below 0.01% over a 10-year period.
