Heat Protection Catalyst Description

The Heat Protection Catalyst is typically used as an over-temperature protection device in the second stage of reformation for natural gas, oxygen-enriched coke oven gas, and catalysts for reforming with pure oxygen. It serves as a pre-reformer to prevent the deactivation of the catalyst due to exposure to high temperatures.

The catalyst support is sintered at temperatures exceeding 1500℃, ensuring excellent thermal stability. Repeated tests have demonstrated that the protective agent does not deform or break under a single load of 1.9 kg at 1400℃ for 4 hours, indicating good heat resistance.

The catalyst particles are large, offering strong heat storage capacity, which is evidently superior to that of porous spherical types. Higher active components can buffer sudden temperature rises and effectively protect the conversion catalyst. The catalyst is loaded with more nickel, its content being higher than that of the porous spherical form, allowing some conversion reactions to take place on the protective agent, resulting in an effective conversion due to the increased nickel content.
