Applications of the Titan 6246 Alloy
1. Aerospace: Titanium 6246 alloy is employed in the aerospace industry. It is used for aircraft structures, engine components and landing gear parts.
2. Defence: The alloy is utilised in armoured vehicles, missile components and naval vessels. Its strength-to-weight ratio and impact resistance meet quantitative design requirements.
3. Medical: Titanium alloys, including Titanium 6246, are biocompatible and resistant to corrosion. They are used in orthopaedic implants (e.g. hip and knee joints), dental implants and surgical instruments.
