Tungsten Alloy Flat Sheet Description
The density of the tungsten alloy flat sheet is between 16.9 and 18.1 g/cm³. Consequently, tungsten alloy is the densest metallic material. Tungsten alloys offer measurable radiation shielding, electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance and mechanical strength. The tungsten alloy flakes supplied by SAM contain a tungsten content of 85–98%. SAM also supplies a range of tungsten alloys, including magnetic tungsten–nickel–copper alloys.
Tungsten alloys are non-toxic and are safer than Pb. Furthermore, the high density of the tungsten alloy flat sheet permits enhanced radiation shielding, and its performance is maintained even under extreme conditions. The density of depleted uranium is akin to that of tungsten alloys; however, depleted uranium is radioactive and requires special authorisation, thereby making its use both challenging and costly.
Tungsten alloy flat sheets constitute an important component of the products offered by SAM. The properties of tungsten alloy flat sheets correspond to those of other tungsten alloy products, including high density, good ductility, durability and a long service life.
The tungsten alloy ultrathin sheet is produced from a tungsten-based alloy. Tungsten is combined with other metallic elements such as nickel, iron, copper, cobalt, molybdenum and chromium. Depending on the composition and application, ultrathin tungsten alloy sheets are categorised as tungsten–nickel–iron, tungsten–nickel–copper, tungsten–cobalt, tungsten–cobalt–copper, tungsten–copper and tungsten–silver. Ulrathin tungsten alloy sheets represent one of our principal products.
