Tungsten Alloy Rod & Tungsten Alloy Bar Description
Tungsten alloy rods & tungsten alloy bars feature properties such as high density, high melting point, low volume, high wear resistance, high hardness, high tensile strength, high elongation, and high temperature resistance. Tungsten alloy products are utilised in many industrial processes.
The tungsten alloy rod is manufactured by first mixing tungsten powder with other metal powders, compressing the mixture and sintering it to form an intermediate billet. The billet is then forged and cut, and the tungsten alloy rod is formed. Rods may be produced in any specified length. The surface finish meets technical requirements and the diameter exceeds 3 mm. The wall thickness is maintained within 3 mm. The rod can also be processed into a hollow form. The length and structure are produced according to customer specifications.

Tungsten Alloy Rod & Tungsten Alloy Bar Applications
Owing to their high density, tungsten alloy rods are primarily used as counterweight elements for weight control and distribution. The rods supplied by SAM are used for weight components, radiation shielding, military products, welding rods, moulds and related applications. They also serve in the manufacture of certain sports equipment, for instance, in darts and golf clubs. Other applications include usage in vacuum electronics and high-temperature parts.
Tungsten Alloy Rod / Rod Packaging
Our tungsten alloy rod is marked and externally labelled to facilitate identification and quality control. Measures are taken to ensure that no damage occurs during storage or transport.
