Description of Yttrium Oxide (8mol) Stabilised Zirconium Dioxide Crucible
Yttrium oxide‐stabilised zirconium dioxide (YSZ) is a ceramic in which the cubic crystal structure of zirconium dioxide is stabilised at room temperature by the addition of yttrium oxide. Yttrium Oxide (8mol) Stabilised Zirconium Dioxide Crucibles are designed to function as refractory and insulating materials. They exhibit a clean melt at temperatures above 1 900°C and are manufactured specifically for the melting of superalloys and noble metals. They also display quantifiable chemical inertness, withstand temperature variations up to 2 200°C, and show measurable resistance against corrosion from acids and bases.
