ZrO2 ceramic bearings can be used up to 400℃. The maximum rotational speed should be reduced when the temperature exceeds the ambient temperature, especially when the bearings are unlubricated. Bearings with a PEEK cage are designed for up to 250℃ due to the lower maximum temperature of the cage material. At high temperatures, it may be beneficial to use a lower radial play, particularly if the temperature of the inner ring is higher than that of the outer ring, as this reduces the radial play of the bearing. Our ZrO2 bearings are supplied as standard with a looser C3 radial play.
