Niob is a reactive and soft metal that belongs to the alkaline earth elements. It occurs in the minerals dolomite, gypsum, plagioclase, amphibole, pyroxene and garnet.
Lithium niobate wafers, lithium niobate (LiNbO3), periodically poled lithium niobate crystal (LiNbO3, PPLN), niobium disulphide crystal (NbS2 crystal), niobium ditelluride crystal, niobium diselenide crystal.
Purity: ≥99.9%
Niobium offers a distinct combination of properties for technical applications in several fields:
Mechanical Properties: The strength-to-weight ratio, combined with its ductility, qualifies niobium for applications that require both strength and flexibility.
Corrosion Resistance: Niobium forms a stable oxide layer on its surface, thereby ensuring resistance to corrosion under aggressive conditions.
Biocompatibility: Niobium is compatible with the human body. It is used in medical implants and supports the healing process.
Superconductivity: In its superconducting state, niobium exhibits zero electrical resistance. It is used in MRI devices and particle accelerators.
Niobium Sheets and Plates: Our products are manufactured to meet strict standards. They are used in aerospace, electronics and medical devices.
Niobium Rods and Bars: Niobium rods and bars are produced to provide high mechanical strength and corrosion resistance. They are used in sectors ranging from chemical processing to energy generation.
Niobium Wires: Our niobium wires combine strength with flexibility. They are employed in applications including superconducting magnets, medical devices and aerospace components.
Quality Assurance: Our niobium products undergo rigorous testing. They are verified to meet high quality and performance standards and function reliably in critical applications.
Technical Expertise: The expert team at Stanford Advanced Materials (SAM) assists in selecting the appropriate niobium product for specific requirements and provides technical support and guidance.
Global Reach: Our global distribution network ensures on‐time delivery and reduces delays, thereby keeping projects on schedule.
Customised Solutions: Every project has specific requirements. Our ability to provide tailored niobium solutions allows projects to achieve defined targets efficiently.
Sustainability: We ensure responsible sourcing and manufacturing, thereby contributing to a sustainable future.
