Self-flowing/Melting Alloy Powder HRFe45 Description
Self-flowing/Melting Alloy Powder on an iron base HRFe45 may be used in situations where the component might deform due to melting after coating or when the substrate does not tolerate the heat of the melting process. The self-flowing/melting material melts partially during the spraying process, thereby removing the need for an additional remelting step.

Self-flowing/Melting Alloy Powder HRFe45 Applications
- Thermal spraying/melting
- HVOF
- Repair of the sealing surface in valves
This self-flowing alloy powder on an iron base is formulated for the two-stage spraying/melting of metal surfaces on iron components where improved resistance to corrosion and/or wear is required. The material can be applied to parts and components manufactured from carbon steel, alloyed and stainless steel, cast iron, Monel, Nickel and cobalt-based alloys. It should not be applied to brass, bronze or aluminium and may require special precautions when used with certain other alloys. Depending on the chosen grade, a coating hardness of HRC 33 to 65 is attained.
