Self-flowing/Self-melting Alloy Powder HRNi20A Description
This self-flowing/self-melting alloy powder on a nickel basis, HRNi20A, is used in circumstances in which subsequent melting might distort the component or where the substrate cannot tolerate the heat produced during the melting process. Self-flowing/self-melting materials partially merge during the spraying process, thereby eliminating the need for a separate melting step after the coating is applied.

Self-flowing/Self-melting Alloy Powder HRNi20A Applications
- Flame spraying/melting
- Glass moulding
- Various casting techniques
These self-melting alloy powders on a nickel basis are engineered for the two-stage spray/melt metallising process of iron components, given that increased corrosion and/or wear resistance is mandatory. They can be applied to parts and components fabricated from carbon steel, alloyed and stainless steels, cast iron, Monel, nickel and cobalt alloys. They must not be applied to brass, bronze or aluminium and may require special precautions when used on certain other alloys. Depending on the selected grade, a coating hardness ranging from HRC 33 to 65 is achieved.
